Additional Georgia Neurologic Equine Herpesvirus A horse linked to an earlier case of neurologic equine herpesvirus in Cobb County, Georgia, has been euthanized. By Kimberly S. Brown, EquiManagement.com June 15, 2021 The Georgia Department of Agriculture Animal Industry Division confirmed a case of neurologic equine herpesvirus (equine herpesvirus myeloencephalopathy or EHM) in Cobb County. The horse was euthanized. The facility is under quarantine and being monitored by GDA and the attending private practitioner.
