Join this session from your hospital – gather your anesthetic team and prepare to learn together with your anesthesia machine handy!
Who makes up the anesthesia team in your hospital?
Do you want to improve team coordination and increase confidence among your hospital’s anesthesia team?
Offering a virtual team training opportunity in anesthesia that is at your hospital will help your team understand the anesthesia machine they are working with and monitoring techniques that allow everyone in treatment room or surgical suite to better recognize and respond to changes in your patient’s condition while under anesthesia. What a great way to foster team coordination, communication and reinforce knowledge around anesthesia and monitoring.
Make this training a priority for your team! Everyone will walk away with deeper understandings of the anesthesia machine, factors that affect a patient’s plane of anesthesia, commonly used anesthetics and their effects on ventilation and how to choose anesthetic protocols – especially regarding patients that have different diseases.
Grab some pizza or sandwiches and treat your team to this opportunity to learn together in the comfort of your hospital.

We have a crisis of help-seeking around disability on our college and University campuses. The vast majority of disabled students will leave our campuses without ever seeking help. There are a variety of possible reasons for this crisis, but most of them are related to the ableism that has always been a part of the structure and identity of higher education. Yet we have had an opportunity, over the last four years, to redesign higher education in ways we never have before. In this presentation and discussion, some possibilities for building a more accessible classroom and campus will be suggested and explored, with a focus on the potential of Universal Design for Learning in Veterinary Education. Come and share your own experiences, ideas, challenges and questions.
