Most state VMA’s are blanket approved for continuing education, but it is the individual’s responsibility to know the specific requirements of their state.

VetSouth programming is approved by the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine for general and LEAP CE. VetSouth 2023 programming has received specific approval from the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Board as acceptable continuing education.

Last updated September 26, 2023.

CE sessions start at 8:00am Friday – Sunday. Sessions dismiss at 4:30pm Friday and Saturday, and 3:00pm on Sunday.

Each day includes 7 hours of CE that you can attend. If you attend the entire conference, you could receive up to 21 hours.

Every year, we work with Avalon to reserve a block of rooms for a discounted price.

Our room block is SOLD OUT.

While we cannot recommend specific places to stay, we have tried our best to compile a list of hotels within a few minutes drive of the conference center. Please reach out to each hotel directly for pricing/reservation info.

After registration

Keep an eye on your email inbox! You’ll receive important pre-registration info so that you have everything you need before getting to Avalon. If you aren’t sure you are receiving these messages, please contact our office as soon as possible. Email us at gvma@gvma.net.

You can attend whichever classes you would like each day. We use the classes you chose at registration to give us an idea of room sizes for the more popular topics.

Children under 16 are not permitted in the exhibit hall.

You will receive your CE certificate the following Monday after the conference. This will be delivered directly to the email you used at registration.

We do not use the QR code on your badge to track session attendance – your CE certificate will list every session that happened at VetSouth, and you select which ones you attended.

NOTE: Please double-check that your email is entered correctly on the registration form.

We will send important pre-conference emails and CE certificates to the email provided on the registration form.
