We understand the growing concern around the delays in licensing and have been working to address this over the last few months.
Here’s how we’ve been advocating for you:
The complexity of this problem transcends the authority of the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine. We are working to escalate this to the legislators who can address this with the Secretary of State’s office and the Professional Licensing Boards Division directly.
We are asking you, our members, to contact your legislators to raise awareness and prompt action on resolving the licensing delays affecting veterinary professionals in Georgia.
We’ve made it quick and easy for you. Linked below is a sample letter to help you get started, so just fill in the blanks with your information, and copy/paste the letter into your representative’s contact form. Be sure to copy Dr. Riddick on your email to your legislator if you reach out by including keri@gvma.net in the cc line.
Thank you for being an essential part of our veterinary community and for standing with us when representation is critical. With our collective voice, we can amplify our message, drive actionable change, and get back to practicing veterinary medicine here in our great state of Georgia.
Sincerely,
Dr. Keri Riddick
