ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

SARAH WHEAT, DVM
Dr. Sarah Wheat graduated in 2001 from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and went straight into practice as an emergency veterinarian. Over 17 years she helped grow an after hours/weekend emergency practice into a 24-hour ER and Specialty facility. Through the years she had a keen interest in more challenging critical care cases and also encouraging collaborative medicine. As she grew in areas of leadership she realized a strong interest in mentorship for young vets entering the field of emergency, and created a one on one program at her facility supporting these young vets. She recently joined the team at University of Georgia to help form and build the Clinical Skills Lab and program. She is enjoying this new adventure.
