22 Sep Asian Longhorned Tick Identified in Georgia
The Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) has confirmed the presence of H. longicornis (the Asian Longhorned tick/ALT) affecting a cow on a premises in Pickens County, GA. The tick was identified thanks to an existing tick surveillance program GDA has in place. The investigation is ongoing. GDA will be providing additional information through a webinar in the coming weeks.
