The Principles of Fracture Repair workshop is designed to provide participants with a basic, fundamental knowledge of bone healing and the favorable impact internal fixation of fractures can have on the healing.
Discussion will focus on decision-making for fracture repair of the tibia, femur and radius using bone plates. We will teach instrumentation, plate contouring and application techniques and give valuable practical tips.
This course will employ lectures, clinical case presentations and a laboratory repairing created fracture on plastic bone models.
