The Principles of Fracture Repair workshop is designed to provide participants with a basic, fundamental knowledge of bone healing and the favorable impact internal fixation of fractures can have on the healing.
Discussion will focus on decision-making for fracture repair of the tibia, femur and radius using bone plates. We will teach instrumentation, plate contouring and application techniques and give valuable practical tips.
This course will employ lectures, clinical case presentations and a laboratory repairing created fracture on plastic bone models.

During this wet lab, attendees will have the opportunity to learn many emergency procedures that can help save the lives of injured patients. Attendees will learn from hands on experiences as well as interacting with experts in the ECC field.
The first part of the lab will focus on lecture and videos demonstrating the procedures that will be taught in the hands on portion. In the second portion of the wet lab, participants will have hands on training in each of the following techniques:
